Geylang Claypot Rice
Had the famous Geylang Claypot Rice with Pammy, Kev n Tara.. It was good but I prefer the one at Chinatown.. The one owned by the old auntie and uncle..pity they did not move to the make-shift one at outram when I went there the other time... Only had it once coz old auntie n uncle closes rather early... Shld be during one of the "mc" days that I went.. :) Yummmmmyy...
Love the dishes we had at the Geylang Claypot Rice.. Think they are much nicer than the normal ZeChar stores ... we had the lotus root duck (which is ok onli), the french bean (which is fantastic!! crunchy!!) and the prawn beancurd (the beancurd is super super soft-a must try).. last of all we have oh-nee n ginko nut for dessert... Tot it was rather exp for the meal .. think it cost about 70 over for 4 person... but it is worth the try!! Must call in advance so dun have to wait!! heehee...
Batam
Went to Batam View Resort on 21 Jul 07 with the few old pple (i.e zl n hl, fed, kev, yc and pam).. too bad it rained on the very first day and there was no sun! ... wanna have a tan but too bad... at least I tried the Jetski...Love the speed and freedom that you have... but scared later I kill Pam so never reallie speed to the max.. hahaa.. Wanted to try wake-boarding but the boat can onli take 3 pple, so hl, kev n pam went... Must try the next time!
The dinner was fantastic... with black pepper crab, tom yam soup, calamari, beancurd pot, sweet n sour fish, veggie and chicken.. onli the chicken is disappointing, the rest are fantastic... N we ordered Gong-Gong... ha... initially I tot Gong-Gong is the small spiral ones but it ended up to be a huge snail like thingy... I tried one.. and it taste like sotong.. I tot I will puke but it is fine...
We played the Audit Dai Dee game at night...where the winner of the first round gets to be the partner and the loser is the G2... so the partner get to exchange 3 of his/her worst cards with the G2/s 3 best cards ... only the s3 do not have to exchange any cards with anyone.. Fun game!
Went for the massage the next day but I got "molested".. haha... next time I must specify where I don't need massage... heehee... But I still prefer bintan massage... where the setting is more rustic and u can reallie relax... coz the one at batam is just in some hotel rooms converted and u see the swimming pool and the sea ... not reallie the best... but the massage is not too bad... and I got blue-black again!! always happen when I go for massage... ha..
Love the doggie decor they have around the resorts.. esp the Pink one!! Cool!!

King of Prussia, Philadelphia
Was searching for cheesecake recipe online coz making one for Pam n Kev's Farewell this sunday... n I saw the link for Cheesecake Factory... went there last last may.. (i.e. May/June 2006) My last holiday before I left KP.. It was spring/summer then... The second time was Winter... my first ever Winter!! n Snow... It was fantastic... It was cold... I saw snow... I took pics n video of it snowing ... it was beautiful... but dirty as well.. coz after a while, the snow gets black by all the dirt and dust... rather disgusting...
I rem watching it snow while in a nice restaurant... think it is Magiano's... nice place... nice deco... n I was sitting by the window.. it was so beautiful to see everything covered in thick white snow... n with my love by my side... it was so heartwarming...
I rem you saying that you like Philly coz we have a place of our own...n me at home waiting for u ... preparing dinner... it was reallie nice... I can imagine a real place of our own... but too bad it doesn't snow in Singapore...
Thinking abt snow oso made me think abt Jili... she passed a few weeks back... she was a reallie adorable dog... with huge almost floppy ears and cow-prints... our own cow-hua-hua... she looked so cute in her cruella jacket when I brought her out for her daily walk n shit session... n whenever she had her dinner roll, she acted as if the dinner roll was alive ... I will miss her...
Philly- King of Prussia... maybe we will get a chance to go back someday... :)

Jacky Cheung
Went to Jacky Cheung concert with Pam the other day... n he was fantastic... wonder if we will be that hyper when we turned 46... wonder if I will still blog... wonder if I will still be alive... :P...
He was reallie amazing... the way he danced and sing at the same time... non-stop for 20 mins... n he was munchin on an apple during the later half of the concert... he said it helps him sing better... ha... so adorable...
It is my first ever concert besides the one tt I went w Sharon coz the Singer is one of the pastor of Cityharvest... ha... so this is my first ever concert that I paid for... :P n I got a discount coz Pam's fren could not go so she sold it to me for 100 bucks.. ha... so cheapo rite? But I rather spend it on musicals coz Jacky Cheung sang quite a few Cantonese songs which I never heard before n I dun understand ... so I was day-dreaming for a while... think I was sick tt day too.. so a bit dazed n all...

In Memory of "Sink, Sank, Sunk"
Met up with MX for an hour chat during the unofficial coffee break ... reallie miss the good old days when we gossip abt the office politics ... MX is still MX... the same old MX-always updated w the latest gossip in office... though it is our ex-office... like our fav mr macdonald who just got invited to partnership... together w his wife.. ha .. yes they finally got married..
The onli change abt MX is she looks happier... more radiant.. maybe becoz of the good times she is having at PWC San Frans... envy envy... she is no longer wearing her red sleeveless top w her beige skirt... n her black shoes.. though she is still carrying the same bag.. she is in 3/4 pants n a diff blouse tt i have not seen before.. ha... yes she has changed her dressing... Finally.. it is about time.. we used to tease her about being "classic" and some say "retro"
That day after MX's wedding dinner, KW sent me home in his bro's van which was running low on gas... luckily we did not have to push the van back or find a petrol kisok along CTE... ha... it managed to survive till my house... had a fun time jsut chatting w old man... miss him .. his crappy jokes and hilarious answers and comments... n old man has more hair!!!!! whao... see after u leave KP.. u get more hair>.... haa.... n he joined dragon boat! whao .. amazing!! of all pple, OKW joined dragon boat!! ha..
Memories of A just come flooding back...the times when we spend doing our audit in the tiny room - w 5 male GAs, n me n MX ... all 7 of us... cramped into tt little room... den the next yr we have a bigger room but the closeness starts to wear off ... we just dun trust or respect some of the teammates ... MX's sad story about her encounter w Mr Mac ... just pull our spirit down by a million ton... but in the end... all is well.. but not long after, I left, Song left for Japan, MX left for US, Old Man also left... so now survivors are young boy n KA... well KA isn't reallie the original team coz he joined in several weeks later... n also Mark... long time no see him.. wonder how is he... he left way earlier than us... smart!
The second yr w the guys was rather fun too... n we have aussie babe n KT ... though KT is reallie quiet then so din reallie get to know him well.. n the onli anchor left is KT... coz aussie babe left too... ha... of coz we have the rich boy whom MX n myself wanted to counsel him but in the end, he wanted to finish the job n quit... still he chose his gf .. .another smart one...
I guess getting into A is never my first choice but it is also in A tt I sort of got my current job... i rem tt day when MX was sitting beside me in our big room in A n she said... hey, SAY got a job offering, u int?? n so, I emailed my resume to SAY n here I am at MSL... ha...
Days at A were reallie fond memories .... miss those days in our small room when we cramp together n joke n laugh... will miss u guys... n of coz MX...

Rising Prices in Singapore
hmm... now thinkin abt my "new house" n what I need to spend if I am planning to buy a new house... damn expensive lor... so putting off tt thought for another 2 yrs bah.. coz firstly, property prices are soaring in Singapore... n secondly, not enuf savings.. coz i want a nice comfy house ... n I need comfort!! N hope tt the house can auto-clean itself ... :P
Just thinkin abt the amt of money to spend on the house is ridiculous... first of all, u need to pay the initial deposit, transaction fee blah blah... next u need to set aside money for interior designing unless u can manage it on ur own den u can choose a contractor-but I know nuts abt interior designing... anyways, after tt u need to spend on furniture... gosh... tons n tons of money... which I dun have.. ha... time to cut down on my spending ... esp on clothes n shoes... n of coz ... cabs!!!...
I wish I live in Thailand or somewhere that has cheap cab fare... Singapore cabs are so exp... n buyin a car is even more exp... damn... everything is exp in singapore... n GST just increased by 2%... even the china square Yong Tau Hu is going to increase the price by 50 cents.. which translates into 16% increase!! N my next fav Thunder Tea has also increase their price...
ha..it is ironic tt I am complainin here abt the increase in foodcourt prices when me n cleo keeps visiting restaurants... our misson for our next outing is to visit foodcourts n hawker centre n save money... heehee... so it is either vcd day for us on sat or underwater world with monster xin......

Wii Day
Had a super fun day at GT's house ... Wii is so so so so fun... must buy ... but then before u can buy that, u need to invest in a plasma tv so tt it is at eye level... so onli a toy tt rich pple can afford.. ha... joking ... but the fact is that u get to play n exercise on this neat little toy... n u get to hit ur fren too!! ha.. coz I hit pammy on her shoulder while playin baseball... heehee...
Gotta buy Wii when I have my new house.. fantastic... but mario is super boring... ha...
Enjoyed the gathering tt day... pammy n kev are going away soon so another 2 pple leaving-first it is simon n jack-now are the two of them... wonder wat will become of our "group"-let me count the number of pple left in the group-Mr Soh, Senior Z (hmm.busy with mr HL-aka male slave), Senior T (always busy with baby n hubby) n meeeee...
